I’m back, and I recommend that each of you watches this speech to commemorate my return. David Foster Wallace took his life a few years after delivering it, but his words continue to breathe gleaming, humorous, and profound life into mine. I could go on and on about this genius and his incredible books—which have evolved the ways I write, think, and live—but I’ll just let you guys interpret it for yourselves. Make sure to reserve 22 minutes and 43 seconds of your time if you’re too busy right now.

P.S. I found a shorter, edited version of the speech (9  minutes long) that has cool kinetic typography and stuff like that. Check it out!
