After playing on Baylor University’s soccer team for two years, I am now preparing to try out for Boston University’s club. While training this summer, I made a skill video with my GoPro just for fun. My Instagram @lukesfrostedflakes has the old version, but here’s the final video with extra clips, editing, etc. I’m not as good as some of these crazy tricks suggest, but soccer is still my biggest passion—y’all will enjoy this quick glimpse of it!
P.S. In case you’re curious about my soccer past: I captained my club team in the Dallas Classic League and played at my high school (go Highland Park Scots) for all four years. I am a striker/winger and occasional CAM/LM/RM. I take all set pieces—free kicks, corner kicks, & penalty kicks—and used to be a pure goalscorer but am now more of an assister. I also wear the exact same cleats (Nike Mercurial Superfly V’s) and number (#7) as Cristiano Ronaldo. He is my coach. He is my inspiration. He is the one who got me playing 10 times a week. Here’s his epic winning goal against Barcelona from yesterday!
Yes, I like FC Dallas, Arsenal, the USMNT, Portugal’s national team, and—most importantly—Real Madrid. I’ve watched almost every Real game this decade. I’ve even been to the Bernabéu three times. And seeing Ronaldo score there live from the first row (in a 3-0 win over Levante) on March 19th, 2014 is my favorite memory. I’ve practiced Spanish since 2009 so I can live in Madrid one day, and Real will always be my true love.
Madridistas de España y más países: Si quieres conversar con una Madridista que hablo inglés y español fluidamente (pero yo necesito practicarlo más), estoy aquí y listo. Yo conozco muchos rumores y noticias de Los Blancos y me encanta discutirlo.
